Merry Christmas everyone!
Man what a day it was! Eventful in good and bad ways.
First of all, since my air mattress is in the living room, and the tree is in the living room, there was a cranky birdie this morning because a certain someone was too eager to get the Wolverine action figure...A certain someone who had the nerve (and guts) to wake up at four just to check his stocking for it.
You don't want to see me when I'm cranky, okay?
So after yelling at Ulric in the loudest whisper I could possibly do without waking the house up, I dragged him back upstairs to his bedroom. Then I slept until seven thirty, which is when Trin came downstairs with Johnny. By then I had to get up.
So once Jalana was up, we opened presents...
And I got this frickin' sweet red digital camera that is totally, utterly and completely kick-ass to the fullest extent.
Best christmas present!!!
Anyway...
Trin actually liked the Hollister shirt I bought for her, and Ulric spazzed out over that crappy bling I bought him, and then he said it was cheep, and he wore it for the whole entire day.
What's odd is that he came up to me when no one else was around and said he really liked it. I asked him why he had to wait until we were alone in the house, and he said it would ruin his reputation and self-pride if he let it on that he actually didn't think of me as some stupid do-do bird.
As Trinity says, "He's a jerk and a sweetheart at the same time." I guess that's more accurate than I thought.
Crap! Gotta go! I'll finish when I can!

Yay!
Aleron's over, and I'm going to have him type a little somenorother here.
I just need to grab him. He's in the kitchen getting hot chocolate.

hey everyone. Aleron here. Red wanted me to type something so here it is. cool blog huh? i'm taking her out walking today so we're going to be leaving soon. I never knew that Trinity, Ulric and her all lived together because Trinity and Ulric are dating...but Red said that it was a long complicated process and they weren't related at all. They all have diferent last names so I guess that explains it. Ive heard horror stories from Red about Urlic and Trinity...not sex stories tho! Red made sure that was clear. I did get her Linkin park tickets and we are going to see them in febuary. I was happy she likes the band because I spent a lot of money on those! I like them too. They are next on the list to Puddle of Mud. Ozzy too. So I'm going to hand the comupter back to Red now since she looks like she wants to write more.
See? My god I can't believe I actually hooked up with him! He's so adorable...
So yeah, we're going to go walking now, so I'm signing off.

Winter Break!!!
Winter break!!!!
Yay!
No school for two holy weeks!!!
FINALLY!
Anyway...
Aleron is coming over tomorrow for a little "Christmas moment" with me (Grins), and Ulric was being annoying and started putting mistletoe above all the door frames.
Whatever.
But I'm excited! I mean seriously!
Trinity is annoyed with me because of Aleron.
"He's such a good boyfriend!" she said. "I'm jealous!" You have to feel sorry for Trinity. All Ulric does is ask her if she can give him a blow job.
But you have to remember, he's a wolf at heart.
Poor Trin. She misses having Johnny as a boyfriend. I think she feels a little insecure if she doesn't have someone to cuddle with.
And Ulric's not very cuddly.
Aleron says he has something special to give me tomorrow, and now I'm wondering what it is.
He's already given me those Linkin Park tickets, so what else does he want to give me? A kiss? A box of chocolates? A partridge in a pear tree?
I think that last one is a little redundant.
Despite my loathing for Ulric, I bought him a present. I got him this snazzy watch. Not a Rolex though, because those things are too damn expensive, but it's pretty pimpin' all the same.
And I bought him some cheesy bling, just to make him happy.
I bought Trin a pink Hollister shirt, just for the kicks.
Somehow I believe Ulric bought me bird-feed, just because he's annoying that way.
Wow. My first real Christmas in a real home. This is going to be interesting.

I'm Currently at School
Yeah, so I'm at school right now, in Study Hall. And it's Finals Week so I have nothing to do.
I got a three pack of Choxie chocolate from my secret snowflake, and I'm rather surprised considering I asked for Hershey's chocolate.
Here's what it says on the tag.
"Milk chocolate lover's truffle bar trio: Three fabulous truffle-filled flavors for a gift that's always in the very best of taste." Huh. Interesting.
Anyway, Shredder's not here for Finals. He's gone again because his "job" requires it.
Oh! By the way, Aleron got Linkin Park concert tickets to go see Linkin Park in Febuary!!!
My favorite band...
He says that it's going to be our first serious date.
I am psyched!!! I heard over the radio that these tickets are for sale, but I couldn't get one from ticket master...
And now Aleron shows up today with a ticket for me as an early Christmas present.
God I love him!
I think there is someone in the jealousy department though. Jessica, one of Clarissa's preppy girl friends, has had a crush on Aleron since seventh grade, and now that I have him, she has made me a sworn enimy.
Trinity knows that feeling though, except it's every other girl who's jealous, not just one.
Did I tell you that Ulric has been labled the second-hottest guy in the school? The first is this black guy named Chris, who's a junior.
But anyway. I think Jessica's got an ax to grind with me. She won't stop until she gets Aleron.
Which will never happen, since Aleron told me that she was not his type of girl. She's too much of a ditz for him to handle.
And if Aleron is the human/avian recombined hotty I suspect he is...
Oh, Ulric is making a new blog too. He doesn't like his old one because it's not "hack proof". So he's making a new one, and I can put up the address as soon as I can get it.
So yeah. Nothing more I can really write. Except Aleron was sick last weekend and couldn't come over. He's better now.

So...
In school we're doing this thing called Secret Snowflake, where people have to draw a name from a hat and get that person a small gift under ten dollars. I just wrote down that I wanted chocolate to make it easy for whoever got me.
I got Max, so I'm planing to pop into Hot Topic and pick up something emo for him, since that's his style. Maybe more chains for his pants or something.
He and Lana are always seen together, and they get picked on for being "emo". Max swears she's a vampire and will one day ask her to make him one too, so they could seal their dark love forever.
Sure.
Speaking of love, I can't tell you how great it's been to have Aleron for a boyfriend!
Actually, I can.
At first it was still a little tentative. It was talking and the holding hands while in the halls type thing. Nothing special. But then last weekend he called me up and we went out to the movies. After that, we went to get ice cream.
I couldn't put a finger on it at that time, but this scenario seemed familiar. As if it happened to someone else...
The ice cream shop is not far from Jalana's haircutting place, and Ulric, wonder of all wonders, comes strolling past.
I see him out the big window. He grinned and gave me a thumbs-up. I flicked him off, fuming. Aleron was smiling.
"Don't get worked up, Maximum," he said.
"Hardy har har," I said as Ulric walked off. "As long as a carbon copy of me doesn't appear I'm good."
"Right," said Aleron. "One Red is enough."
"Yeah, and it wasn't Max and Fang sitting at the table in Ye Olde Ice Creame Shop. It was Max and that other guy. I forgot his name."
"If it was Max and Fang," said Aleron. "They would have taken him on." I grinned wryly, knowing we were both formulating a plan in our evil minds.
We pitched our empty ice cream cups and charged down the street after Ulric.
I think that one incident was what brought me and Aleron together, because after that, we were like, never apart from each other.
He's going to be coming over sometime this weekend, I think. I'll see if I can get him to post a little somethin' or other on my blog, since he absolutely refuses to have any pictures taken of him.
Like seriously.
Oh, and Trinity? She's hanging in there. She discovered Johnny has a new girlfriend, but she was okay with it, for the most part. I think she would have wanted to know ahead of time that he wanted someone else.
Aw well.
I think she's getting a feel for Ulric though. She's starting to really like him, and she says he's different when he's not around everyone. He's a great guy, she said. Ulric's not really the sex-driven wolf he appears to be.
Yeah, and the first thing he did when we met him was hit on us...
Ulric's started to call me "Pidge" now, which is an abbreviation for "Pigeon". He's becoming less wild and I can tolerate him more. I think his wolfish heart is growing soft from the civilized life he lives.
More later. Aleron wanted me to call him around now.
-Red
P.S. - Because all attempts of getting Johnny's skateboard out of the tree has failed, I'm getting him a new one for Christmas. Yes it is still stuck in the tree, and by the looks of it, it's broken.
Ulric really did a number on it. It was a crappy skateboard anyway.

Sorry...I'm Being a Slacker
Yeah, I know I have been slacking on the posting.
It's just going to be less frequent.
"Finals" for school are coming up, so my teachers are all in a frenzy and there's a heckuva lot of work...

And More Stuff
So, it's official.
Aleron's my boyfriend. And now here I am thinking "holy shit" every time I refer to him as that. But so far the experience has been, well, thrilling. I mean I know him pretty well, and it's not like he doesn't know me.
But there is still that void with the big fat question mark floating in my head, if you know what I mean.
I mean, that question mark wouldn't be there if my suspicions haven't been aroused.
Which they have.
Aside from all that though, I can't believe we are together! At long last! Other than being a really great boyfriend, he is a really great friend. Totally dependable, understanding, and a great listener.
Not to mention we share some common interests.
It's been awesome, and school isn't boring at all anymore.
Trinity on the other hand, has some romantic issues of her own. Her reputation is that she's going out with Ulric, but in real life she's not. She has her eye on several of the cuter guys (except Aleron, who she said wasn't her type), but Ulric still has his eye on her.
So she's stuck.
Max and Lana are so in love that they hardly even part from each other. They look great together though, and I'll leave it as that.
Nothing happened at school worth writing about. Just the same stuff. But with Aleron mixed in with the picture. Shredder's gone again, and Clarissa seems a little lost and a little insecure without her burly bodyguard to protect her. Shredder apparently has a new "job" and the principle allows him to skip school because of it. He's only coming twice a week or so now. And without their leader, Shredder's gang is slacking on the bullying. They don't beat people up after school now. They just hang around smoking dope and doing drugs and crap.
I had to inject more mutant repressant in me, Trin, and Ulric. It didn't wear off then but it was really close! And I don't want my wings coming out of my back when I'm around Aleron.
Just in case.

The Dance Biz
So here I have you poor reader hanging on the brink to know exactly what happened at the dance.
Here's my answer.
A lot.
But before I get started up on all that, here's what happened before the dance.
Jalana knew that I was going with a boy, (you know how parents just know), and being a hair stylist, she did me up.
She made me sit in one of those chairs and she took out a flat iron and straightened my hair. My hair, naturally, is wavy and thick, sometimes stubborn. Never the same way twice. Uncooperative. But Jalana made it straight! Like the way I never seen it be.
Then she made Trin's hair all curly and thick-looking. It looked, well, gorgeous. Ulric didn't want to take his paws off it.
But then I had make-up put on me, so I couldn't rub my eyes (gaaah!).
I went in casuals, and Trin wore a skirt. Ulric went in his "wangsta" outfit (which looks similar to the one in the picture I made).
Then we went.
At the dance, there were strobe lights and colorful lights, and fog machines and a crap load of dance music. I was on the floor, jack. (This is before Aleron came). Trinity and I grooved while Ulric started a grind-fest up. Trin complimented me by saying I danced with obvious weightlessness.
Sure.
She can dance too, you know. She got Ulric going with her ass-shaking.
And then, Aleron arrived. Gorgeous, as usual.
I don't know if it was the fog machine, the heat, or the lights, but I felt unusually woozy around him. In a good way though. Like the "close to fainting in his arms" way.
I can't believe I'm talking like this.
He came up to me, smiling, and I smiled and we said "hi". The usual approach.
And as if on cue, the lights dimmed, the strobe lights stopped, and then came on slow-dancing.
He took me out to the middle of the dance floor, and held me as we swayed like the other high-school lovers out there.
Looking over Aleron's shoulder for the moment, I saw Ulric and Trinity. They were slow-dancing. Like real. No grinding, no attempts to touch Trin's butt, nothing disgusting like that. The both seemed to enjoy it, and I felt relieved.
I spotted another familiar person out in the crowd. Johnny. He had his arms around this girl with long dark hair. They looked great together, I might add, and Trinity didn't seem to notice.
I knew Max wouldn't be showing up. He says he's going on a date with Lana. Probably to some Switchblade concert or something crazy like that.
Ignoring everything, I laid my head against Aleron. With my head against his chest and his arms around me, I felt his heart beat.
Thumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthump!!!
The heck!
I almost pulled myself away. What the heck?! Was he frickin' on steroids or something?
He might have noticed me tense, and I quickly relaxed again. Curiously, I brought my finger up to my neck and found my pulse. It was the same rapid crazy speed, maybe a little faster or slower.
"Something the matter, Red?" he asked me.
"Your heart is beating fast," I said, choosing not to ignore it. "Are you excited or something?"
"Nervous," said Aleron. I noticed he was uneasy.
But about then the slow-dance stopped, and the fast music came on again. He seem relieved to break apart from me. He then said he needed some fresh air, and went outside for a moment. I followed.
It was cold out. But that didn't matter to me, since my blood is hot.
Aleron looked a little anxious. Maybe upset. I asked him why, and he said he was feeling a little overheated.
Again I asked why. And then he said it was nothing.
You know, it all adds up. The feather, why Aleron is a track champion, his knowledge for birds, and his heart beating at a zillion miles an hour.
Now I needed dead solid proof.
"Aleron," I said. "You're hiding something." He did and said nothing. "Tell me the truth."
"What do you mean Red?" he said, sounding antsy.
"Did this or did this not belong to you?" I said, holding up the feather he gave me. "It's quite a strange gift to give a girl, you know."
"It was mine," said Aleron. I sighed. I took another feather from my pocket, one that was mine. It's just black. No gold. But it was most certainly from my wing.
"Aleron," I said. "I'll tell you the truth." I held the feather out to him. He looked at me, sort of shocked.
Then suddenly, as if we knew, we wrapped our arms around one another...
...And kissed...
There's my proof right there.
The rest of the night was just partying. Me and Aleron talked, danced, ate the snacks, laughed, etc.
It's was great. I was upset when the dance ended, but I was pooped anyway. A part of me wanted to go crawl up in my bed and sleep until noon the next day, but another part was dying to unfurl my wings and fly through the cold air, preferably with Aleron.
But I ended up going home tired and happy. Me and Aleron said a long good-bye, and he kissed me on the cheek.
It makes me think that the high school life isn't so bad, that being a normal teenager does have its upsides.
Who knows. All of this can get pretty exciting.
On a different note, Ulric and Trin keep referring to me and Aleron as lovebirds, which gets annoying after the first fifty million times.
But, you know, that's life for you.
Man what a night...

Too Tired!
I'm too tired to talk about the dance now.
I'll tell you tomorrow what it was like.
But I'll let you now that it was awesome, for more than one reason.

Sheesh...
Today was weird.
It just felt weird. With Shredder giving me the stink eye and Aleron suddenly talking to me.
Why so sudden? Even though it's like a miracle (though oddly bizarre), why so sudden?
I couldn't really press the question on Aleron much, because it would be awkward and sound, excuse my french, bitchy. As if I didn't like him, and you know I do.
Pfft, you of all people know I do.
But I'm wondering why. I mean, it could be because he had always liked me, and could finally have an excuse to come and talk to me (asking me to the dance). But then again, he didn't let in on much, unless he's really good at not letting it on.
Somehow word got out that I'm going to the dance with Aleron (I blame Trin for that one, who somehow found out! I don't think Ulric would care too much to gossip about it). So now I have everyone come up to me saying things like, "You're going to the dance with Aleron!?" and "You and Aleron are the perfect match!" and "When did he ask you?" and "Are you planning on kissing him?"
Uhum...Kissing...let's skip that until I feel more confident about approaching that well-desired step...
So now the whole world knows that Aleron Phoenix had asked Red Starbird out to the dance.
Wow.
You can tell I'm nervous/excited/dreading/longing for this dance tomorrow.

Freaked!
I'm still overly freaked out from yesterday.
Well, not as freaked, but still freaked all the same.
Shredder has been absent for a long time, and now he shows up telling me a bunch of confusing scary crap, and pulling a gun out.
I didn't see him in the halls again after that little incident. But today I did see Aleron. He was trying to talk to me. Trying as in stumbling over what he said and avoiding eye contact. He kept shifting his weight from one foot to the other too.
"Just say what you want to say," I said, realizing he was trying to push a subject in my direction that he was attempting to gradually build up to, and failing at doing so.
But...
He asked me to the dance this friday.
After Aleron left I felt like rocketing right through the roof of the school. It was happening! And the professional love-sniffer Trinity only needed to take a fraction of a glance at me to know what my giddy mood was caused by.
"Lovebirds!!!" she teased. I was in too good of a mood to taunt back. At least, to dis.
"Yeah, but you better not bother coming to the dance," I said. "Because everyone is going to make you dance with the big bad w- ahem, Ulric."
Which is true. Everyone thinks Ulric and Trin are going out, and if they show up at the dance on friday, the girls are going to herd her over to Ulric while Ulric's guy friends are going to make him dance with Trin.
I can't wait to see it.
If there is anyone who can't dance to save their sorry ass, it would be Ulric.
The only dance move he knows is Grinding. But that's it.
And Trinity is going to be even more school-famous when she's lost her tolerance for Ulric grinding against her and smack him through the ceiling. Literally.
Jeez, what am I supposed to even do for a dance. Dress up? How fancy?
God! Who ever thought the boring life of regular humans would have an impact on me?!
Then again, I am a teenager, and all teenagers go through this.
Yikes!

WARNING!!! Shredder's Back...More Pissed Than Ever
You better believe it.
The bully is back in town. And guess what? He decided not only to take his vengeance out on unpopular nerds like Max, but also on the gorgeous sophisticated teens that no bully ever touches. Or bothers to.
Like, let's say as an example, Ulric.
Shredder had not once threatened the freak this year. Because Ulric, in the minds of unaware preps, is one attracting wolf. (I mean really. I have heard more than once "He's made for me!" and "I love his hair!" when the preppy girls talk about Ulric). But today, he came out looking like he got the potato-face treatment, saying that the thug Shredder had wrecked his perfect looks.
I flicked him off.
He asked, "What time?"
When no one was looking, I smacked him. There's an example of what our common relationship is like as a reluctant family.
But it was at lunch when I noticed Shredder had his eye set on another familiar face. A face I cannot help adoring.
You guessed it.
Aleron.
And just as I thought, he caught Aleron in the hall unaware, and was smashing his head against the locker. I know this because I was in the bathroom and heard noises from outside the door. Walking out of the bathroom was like walking into a one-to-one war zone.
I'll tell you one thing, Aleron was a shrimp compared to the hulking mass of muscles and big bones that made up Shredder. Not like he was short or anything. Aleron is taller than me, and I'm taller than a majority of the high schoolers in my school, but only by a fraction. Trinity, on the other hand, is a frickin' giant.
Shredder had his back to me when I came out of the bathroom. He was holding Aleron in the air with one hand securely around Aleron's neck.
"What the f*ck are you made of!?!" Shredder boomed. "You be a twig to weigh as much as you do!"
For your convenience, I'll let you know that Aleron is not skinny. He's very fit.
Aleron noticed me, and started giving me a look that screamed "get the heck out of here!!!" But Shredder noticed the looks, and turned to me.
"If it ain't that red-head b*tch," he said in a surprisingly cold tone. He dropped Aleron and advanced toward me, making me press against the wall. He put his hands against it casually, caging me in. This situation was creeping me out.
"You know what b*tch?" he said. "You really piss me off."
"Well I'm terribly sorry about that Shredder," I said with a smile I hoped was Innocent. "I'd be happy to discuss this later if you would like. But right now I really must be attending business that really needs to be attended to." I tried to duck under his burly arms, but he caught me.
"You ain't going nowhere," said Shredder, reaching into his black leather jacket. "There are people out there in the world who wish to have you back, Red. Some of them wish you was dead. Including me." He pulled a gun from his jacket.
What in the world was he talking about?!? It was freaking me out almost too much.
"Leave her alone!" Suddenly Aleron had launched himself at Shredder, with his foot colliding into his side. Shredder grunted, and the next thing I knew I was running down the hall, going super fast, with Aleron pulling me. We were outside in the cold when we stopped.
"What was that!?!" I said. There was no need to regain breath after that run. Air sacs you know.
"Shredder threatening to kill you?" said Aleron. I shook my head in disbelief, but not from what Aleron said.
"What did he mean when he said that there is people who want me back?" I said, having a thought but not wanting to believe it.
"You know as well as I," said Aleron. I scowled. There was something funny about the way he said that.
"Just hope you don't know much," I said. I pushed past him, heading to my next class.
What the heck is going on?

Things I Did This Thanksgiving Break
1. Stuff my fricken gut.
2. Got some more jeans. Compliments to Jalana.
3. Found my only Evanescence CD under the couch next to the remote. (Only god knows how the heck it got there).
4. Built a trebuchet, which is a kind of catapult. (No joking! It launches man. Trust me, it launches).
5. And last but most definitely not least, I got the WiFi back up. (Score! Jalana can't know though).
You know before Thanksgiving break started, about a week before, Shredder had been absent. And he had been absent since then.
It's weird. The most he's ever been gone was three days at the very most, and that was because he wanted to skip school. The school is talking about it, because, honestly, it is a safer place when he's not around. Word has gone out that he got a job somewhere.
But as rumors go, that might not be true.
Hmm...
Well, at least I won't have to rescue Max's butt anymore from a beating. Poor kid seems to be a favored target.
Speaking of which, he's going out with that Romanian girl now. He doesn't seem to talk to me and Trinity much, but that's okay. I'll just let him be in love with that girl for a while.
Ulric's tried to hit on her, but she said in these very words, "I don't date werewolves. Let alone have affairs with them."
Well I laughed my ass off.
"Fine," said Ulric. "You would bite my nuts off anyway."
Trin and I are dealing with our own love affairs too. On the day before we got out of school, Aleron came up to me and said, "Well Red I, uh, hope you have a great Thanksgiving."
And I smiled and said, "You too."
So that's all the news I had to cover. There had been an interval in time where I couldn't access the internet, so that's why there was a delay.
But the WiFi is back up, so there you go.

Happy Turkey Day!!!
Thanksgiving everybody!
Sorry I haven't posted in a million years. Couldn't find time where Jalana wasn't monitoring me.
So anyway.
Thanksgiving was pretty sweet. It was me, Trin, Ulric, Johnny and Jalana around the small kitchen table. Jalana had taken all day and slaved over the stove. But it turned out to be one of the best meals I've ever experienced in my life.
Of course, there was always that sense of cannibalism when I ate the turkey, but I pushed it aside. Ulric had made a few comments at the table though.
"Does Red really taste like this!?!" he had said. For the moment, I thought he was complimenting Jalana on her good cooking, until he said. "Then Red must taste like s***!!!"
Then as we were eating, we all said what we are thankful and stuff.
I said I was thankful for food, the mutant-repressant, awesome friends, a roof over my head, again food, wings, the ability to fly, a bed and TV, and pretty much everything else.
Ulric said he was thankful that Jalana didn't decide to cook me instead of the turkey, because I, supposedly, taste like s***.
Whatever.
Trin said she was thankful for music, the mutant-repressant, poisonous claws, that Jalana was like a second mother to her, that we haven't been caught yet, food, cool friends and an awesome family, and that there was more mutants. She said some other stuff too, but I don't really remember.
So during dinner, a couple things happened.
Ulric took a turkey wing and pretend that it was my wing. Then he shredded it up into a million pieces. Trin laughed, but then Ulric said that foxes taste much better than turkey, and he wanted a taste tonight. He said he was thankful that Trin was so patient with him.
(Sigh)
So there was a couple of incidents. Ulric attempted to dump gravy on me, but it ended up in the cranberry relish, and I slammed his head into the slice of apple pie on his plate, and stuffed potatoes up his nose using the end of my fork.
Trin attempted to choke a Brussels Sprout down Ulric's throat, but Ulric rebounded by launching it at her face. Johnny got Trin by slopping the butter all over her, and I got him back by pelting olives at him.
All in all it was a great Thanksgiving.
So with gravy and pie and potatoes all over us, we had to take turns with the shower. Jalana was mad, but I think she enjoyed it too.
Besides, when can you have a Thanksgiving like that?

More Stuff
Bored.
You know, a lot of my entries start out with me announcing my boredom. I just realized that.
Stupid Ulric hacked onto my blog the other day! Grr! I can't delete it now! He did something so that it doesn't let me!
How did he do it? I don't know.
He was just being annoying.
So today all I was pretty much doing was homework. Trin on the spur of the moment made hot dogs for us, and Ulric as he wolfed his down said for him it was cannibalism.
(Rolls eyes)
So eventually it turned out to be that Trin popped Pan's Labyrinth into the DVD player and we watched that while eating popcorn. Ulric screamed when the guy got his nose blown in with a bottle, and I cracked up after that. Not because I thought getting your nose smashed into your skull with a bottle was funny, but Ulric screams like a little girl.
Actually, it was really gross to see someones face get punched in like that.
Yeah, but after the movie Ulric drew eyeballs on the palms of his hands and kept mimicking that one guy in the movie, annoying the crap out of me and stuff.
But yeah. That's Ulric for you.

Ya Happy Now Ulric!?!

Seriously! He wouldn't shut-up! He wanted self-indulging drawings of him, so I made them!!!
Ulric's just upset because he can't do what me and Trin can do. You know, with our crazy computer freakness.
Here's the drawing. Photoshoped.
...If Ulric was as rich as hell, he would pimp out like this. The girls at school will faint if Ulric could walk around with bling and crap, looking like some sexy animal (which he says he already is). I think this guy in the picture portrays someone who only goes out with girls to get a blow job. But that's true anyway, although he hasn't succeeded in getting one yet.

How Long Can This Go On?
Right now I had a thought.
Well, not just a thought, but a series of thoughts that led up to one important question.
Is this how my life is going to go on forever? And will it, or will there be something to interfere it?
I've wondered, plenty of times, if those creeps who created me would want me back. I mean, I suspect I'm worth enough to make Bill Gates go broke. Maybe not that much...but you get the point. I'm a successful hybrid. I can fly and fight like a pro. My mind is sharp, and I have an intelligence that beats the average humans' by a long shot.
Not to brag about it, but it's true.
If I was a mad scientist, I'd want that priceless recombined life form back in my grasp asap.
And what about Trinity and Ulric? I know Trinity's story, but I know nothing about Ulric's. Could it be possible that they came from the same place I did? Maybe the same company.
And if they do want me back, why have they not made an attempt to get me back? Or are they just waiting for the right moment? Maybe their plan is already in action, and I just don't know it.
Or did they just forget about me?
The idea is appealing but far-fetched and undoubtedly not true. They wouldn't just let multi-million dollar merchandise to run free.
I should keep my eyes open. Anyone could be on their side. I should watch my back more carefully now. I can't get too caught up in my current teenage life. If I do, they could catch me off-guard.
Who knows? Something could happen tomorrow. Or months from now.
Either way, I'll be ready for it.

Humans, Mutants and...Vampires?
God I am so tired.
Why am I so tired? Can someone please tell me why I'm so brain dead and tired?
Anyway...
So today I was talking to Max in the hall (this was before school started) and he was telling me a bunch of funny jokes (some dirty) and suddenly, a group of boys passed through the halls, and in that mass was Ulric, who turned to us with that grin on his face.
"Hey Vampire Boy!" he said. "Seen the new girl? Doesn't look like you have!" Behind Max, I threw Ulric the bird (get it?) and he threw back that seriously evil, "wolfish" grin of his.
But it wasn't long after that when we saw this new girl.
Holy crap.
She's got a pale complexion, flawless skin, long long long black hair (not dyed) and incredibly dark eyes and pointed facial features.
Ahem...
Max was drooling. And if he wasn't, he was damn near it. I mean, I've never seen anyone look so...lovestruck.
I smirked to myself. I was going to do Max a little "favor" for him.
So I went up to the girl, introduced myself, got a feel for her. Her name's Lana. She's got kind of a strange accent. Russian, I think. Turns out she's from Romania.
Um...okay.
Eventually she said, "Who is that guy behind you?" I looked at Max. Yes. This is just where I wanted the conversation to go.
So then Max came forward. I could see Lana was noting his features. From his dark hair to the plastic vampire fangs in his mouth. Max look like he had all the sanity sucked out of him.
Actually, he looked like he got stoned or something. Or had his face glued into this wide-eyed position. Kind of how Ulric stares at porno mags sometimes, except different.
With slurred speech he introduced himself. He was acting like a real idiot, that's for sure.
But like those situations go, Lana was amused.
Seeing as I was no longer of anyone's attention, I split. And I couldn't help smiling.
Being the champion I am, I collided into my own romantic issues as I was going to my first class. An apology rushed out of my mouth right away, and one out of Aleron's mouth as well.
And then Ulric and a few of his friends passed through the hall. Grinning, he winked at me and gave me a thumbs-up.
Ugh...
Feeling like a complete doofus, I walked passed a baffled Aleron, and again I'll emphasize that I felt like a blithering idiot.
Uncool. Really not slick and not cool.
I don't know why I was so shook up. Trin noticed during class, as we were being lectured about the Vietnam War, and she asked me why I looked so freaked out.
I told her, and she laughed, because she's just like that. She doesn't lose her style around guys like most girls do. Like, for example, I do. She said I should just chill about Aleron, and if I want to get together with him I should just talk to him more.
Sure. And her rep's got everyone thinking she's going out with the Big Bad Wolf.
Ha! I've got to laugh at that!
Speaking of which, Johnny's been acting strange lately. Trin's a little worried. What I think is Mr. Hotshot found himself a new girl to call his stuffed animal.
Well, he is a human, after all. Just a human.

Mrrrgh!!!
Grr! Ulric's got a blog now!
Not that is should bother me, now that he won't hack...
But still! Now he's demanding I draw him a bunch of self-indulging pictures of him, and now he's trying to steal my camera to take a picture of his six-pack!
Strictly prohibited!
Grr! Why did I ever get involved with him? Why did I let Jalana keep him? Why in all the freakin' world haven't I thrown him out of the house???
Because now he won't leave.
At first he did want to stay, and now he doesn't want to leave!
Ugh...
I mean jeez. Now I'm in a seriously bad mood, sitting here, with my wings out feeling a crap load angrier than I need to be, because of that freak!!!!
NOT COOL.
He got Trinity pissed too, and now she's looking just like the pissed-off fox she is right now.
Is there anyone who wants to buy a pet wolf!!! It's cheap I guarantee it!!!

Wha...??
Bored...
Yes I am just point blank bored, and I've got an undesired amount of homework to do.
Ulric tried to eat another pepper today, but I caught him beforehand.
I don't want any unnecessary trips to the hospital, thank you very much.
But other than that, I'm bored.
Look, I'm the type of person that normally lives an action-packed lifestyle. I've got wings. I can fly. And I'm living with two other mutants!!!
And I'm stuck writing about the Spanish Conquest of Ancient Mexico.
BLAH! I now know why you people worship Summer Vacation.
Yuck...I still can't even believe that Trinity and Jalana talked me into this!!!
Whatever. I get hot showers and good food. I can't do much complaining about that.
I think life would be moderately okay here in this house...If it wasn't for Ulric.
You've read about that, right? How me and Trin met the freak?
I should have just let him loose instead of being Justice league. I couldn't let a criminal run off you know. I had to do something.
I should have brought him to the pound.
And now he can't leave because of Jalana. Oh she just looooooooves having a wolf in the family. She just loves it.
Grrr! What sucks more is that I brought this fate down on myself. It sucks because it was my idea to bring him back to Jalana's!
I could strangle myself.
And now I am forced to keep track of the moon phases because every time it's full Ulric howls at it!!!
Why? Why? Why!?!
Stupid mangy mutt...
Heh.
On a different note, I have to get Ulric some credit. He does offer some action in my life, being the annoying jerk he is. And it's not like he's evil, although he is the biggest perv you'll ever meet in your life.
Watch out around Ulric. If you're a hot sexy chick, then he'll want to get on top of you.
Literally.
But Trinity believes that all people, no matter how sick and twisted, have another side. I fail to see that supposed other side in Ulric, but Trin claims he has another side.
Unless...
You remember when Shredder got busted by the cops when we were getting pizza, and we were questioned? Ulric put on this act that was totally unlike his personality.
Hell, it made me soften up to him during that short time.
But for only that short time.
I don't know. Maybe.
Crap.
Ulric just stole my candy bag!!!
BRB...
Never mind about his feakin' "other side"!!! He's a FREAK and a JERK through and through!!!
Disobedient ANIMAL!!!
Grrrr! I could take him and rocket up ten miles in the air and drop him!!! Then I'll watch him flail through the air as he falls, and then catch him five or six miles down!
God I hate it when I get so pissed that evil thoughts start running through my head. And now my back tingles...
Thanks to Ulric.
What a crazily boring life I live...

Parent Teacher Conferences (Or should I say Student Teacher Parent Conferences?)
So yeah...
Our PT Conferences were yesterday (Jalana got us booked so we were lined up. Trinity went first, me second, Ulric last...)
Trin and me are both doing well. Our conferences were fine, and we weren't yelled at after for this and that and stuff. You know, with you in the room and the parent and several teachers, and if you're getting bad grades, you going to be yelled at afterwards for slacking off.
Not me. Or Trin. We're doing well.
I know it's weird, but the PT Conferences work that way. It's student led.
Now about Ulric...
Um...yeah. So. His conference was, hmm...
Okay. It sucked. I watched as the wolf walked into the room as if he owned the place, and Trinity could hear what was going on, due to her enhanced hearing abilities. She translated what was going on in the room to me, and I was going to personally strangle him when he came out.
So Ulric didn't start the meeting. He just sat there, and the teachers started for him, asking to introduce Jalana and stuff.
"You already know her," he had replied. "The pigeon and my little vixen already told you."
All right. He earned himself a great woppin' uppercut from me.
So to cut to the chase, it continued with Urlic being a jerk and the teachers and Jalana getting frustrated with the stupid freak. Soon Ulric had a fit and upturned the chair he sat on and smashed his portfolio on the ground, kicking in, and yelling a bunch of swear-words. Then he stormed out of the room, and me an Trin were on top of him the next moment.
God and everyone else knows we get into fights. It was a daily routine, so the teachers let it roll off their shoulders more than they would normally allow. But they still tried to separate us.
The fight ended with the three of us pausing simultaneously and running as fast as our legs could carry us to the bathrooms, and we ducked into each separate gender-labled bathrooms.
Jalana knew what was going on, but the teachers were all question marks.
No my wings did not come out, and Trinity's foxiness was still dormant. But my eyes were gold, and Trinity's had flared a distinct blue when we were fighting.
After we came out, Jalana drove us back home, and said nothing. But when we got home, she did talk to Ulric. Lecturing him on how to behave. He talked back to her though, and that got him grounded and a time-out, which he was too old for, but he was acting like a two-year-old, so there you go.
Now Ulric is moping around, looking sorry for himself. I feel no sympathy. He got what he deserved, and if I had my way, I would have grounded him for all eternity.
Gotta go. Jalana wants me for something.

Another Day in a Million
Dude. I feel awesome right now.
I think I'm getting pretty good grades in school. I just raised my geometry grade from a C to a B.
Anyway.
Today was a pretty eventful day. Ulric had tried to eat a whole habinero pepper during lunch.
Do you know how freakin' hot those things are? Well, he ate it. After a few seconds pause, his face turned bright red, and his eyes watered. Then he went ballistic, and drank all the milk cartons on the table he was sitting at, but still he was freaking out.
I was laughing my ass off while he ran around with his tongue on fire. He was then herded to the nurse's office and stayed there through a whole class period. Big baby. I checked on him once, and he said that he all he wanted before he died was Trinity to come and have some alone time with him.
I dragged him out of the nurse's office, telling the nurse that yes he was fine and no he didn't need to lie down a little longer. Ulric had a fit and said that he was almost killed, and that I shouldn't be doing this to him.
So I said to Ulric that the only thing that could kill him is a silver bullet.
Another exciting thing that happened today was in science. At the beginning of class, the teacher announced that we were moving from chemistry to...wait for it, wait for it...
Anatomy. And the first animal structure we are studying about is bird anatomy.
Alright, sleepytime for Red.
So then the teacher projects this diagram of a bird skeleton structure on the overhead, and at the same time, a note dropped in front of me. Making sure the teacher was fully enticed with the bird diagram, I open the note.
A lousy stick figure sketch of me standing in front of the class with my wings out, and the teacher pointing at them, saying, "Now a bird's bones are lighter than our bones, because if they weren't, birds would be stupid and pointless. The qualities that Red demonstrates." I crumpled the note and threw it at Ulric's head when the teacher wasn't looking. Stupid wolf! He's not going to shut-up about this for the life of him. I turned my attention to the teacher, who just asked the question "Does anyone here know what the fasted flying bird is?"
My hand shot up, lightning fast. And so did Aleron's. I heard a snickering from Ulric. The teacher called on me.
"Peregrine Falcon," I said. Can fly as fast as seventy miles and dive-bomb at two hundred. In my case, I can fly up to two hundred twenty miles and dive-bomb at four hundred. Majorly G-Force, but a heck of a wild ride.
"That's right Red," said the teacher, and she went back to lecturing. Man, I'm going to ace this class. Aleron looked at me before turning back to the teacher.
..."And these strange pouches here are called air sacs. Does anyone know why these are important for bird's to have?"
Hand up. But the teacher chose Aleron this time.
"They act as reservoirs," he said. "The air passes through the air sacs before going into the lungs. They also help with the aerodynamics of the bird, and help streamline the body."
God. I didn't know the air sacs helped with the aerodynamics. I only gave them credit for allowing me to hold a note for half a minute.
So that's how the class went. With me, Aleron, and a few other students here and there answering all the questions. I sometimes didn't put my hand up, even though I knew the answer, just for the sake of not being labeled a nerd.
And then Trin and Ulric wouldn't stop giving me crap after class, and I said that that's what I get for knowing too much about the ways of birds (I would've said that that's what I get for being part bird, but I was in a public area).
So there you go. Hot peppers, bird anatomy, nutshell.
I would have got a picture of Ulric running around the cafeteria with his face as red as anything, but I forgot my camera today.
It was pretty damn funny though.

Made a New Friend
Today it actually snowed. Well, of course it didn't stick, but whatever...
Today Trinity caught Shredder as he was about to punch up this one kid named Maximilian (but everyone calls him Max for short). Max is kind of this nerdy kid. He's a sophomore, and his style is a little whack. He pretends he's all emo, with his hair dyed black and over one eye, but he smiles too much and laughs too much to be emo. He's unpopular. Just bait for Shredder and other bullies to pick on.
One thing's for sure, you can't predict what's going to come out of his mouth or what he's going to do next. Something crazy though.
So Trinity rescued this kid from a serious beating, again thwarting Shredder's usual plan, which I call "garbage in, garbage out".
And the first thing Max says to Trinity after she saves his ass is "Thank god he didn't punch me in the face, because I could have lost my fangs."
So I'm standing there as well, and Max opens his mouth to reveal those type of plastic vampire fangs that you stick over you canine teeth.
He didn't want his face punched in for the sake of Halloween apparel?
So we get to know this kid, Max. He's actually not that bad. Me and Trin hung out with him during lunch, and we got to know a little more about him.
Well, he believes in vampires, and tells us that he thinks he's part vampire.
Yeah. I'll be convinced when he starts floating around in the air. But whatever. Other than those oddities, he's a pretty cool person. You can never get bored around him.
But there's one thing the poor guy lacks. Peer respect. Usually people are throwing him dirty looks (even the freshmen pick on him) and one guy said that he should take off his Halloween costume, because Halloween passed.
One intimidating look and he clammed up. As it goes, nobody messes with Red Starbird and Trinity Farbane. We were like Max's bodyguards.
So we ended up exchanging emails, and already he had emailed me, telling me about vampires, and a bunch of other random stuff.
So in a nutshell, I made a new friend today. Ulric met him too, and doesn't like him too much. He's pokes fun at him, like everyone else.
Speaking of which, I gotta go see where that wolf is. Hopefully not near my Halloween candy (can you believe he already finished his all off?)
More later.

Checking In
Sorry for the lack of posting. Was busy all weekend.
Nothing thrilling or weird happened. Just more of the life of the average teenager.
Except Ulric had gone through almost all his candy, and stole some of mine and Trinity's.
And he grabbed Trinity's butt once.
And messed up our leaf piles we raked so we had to rake it up all over again.
Here's a little warning for us all. Do not get me pissed when I'm holding a rake.
Yeah, that's pretty much it.

Halloween...Interesting
Halloween was interesting. Got a good quantity of candy (about a fourth of a pillowcase. Possibly more). I went as a fourteen year old teenager living in the twenty-first century.
As opposed to a mutant freak.
To both mine and Trinity's great annoyance, Ulric did howl at the stupid moon, which there was only half of. He mostly howled after we went trick-or-treating, but he did sometimes when we were walking around. And guess what?
No one suspected a thing.
All they did was compliment on how real it sounded.
Johnny went as a vampire, and yes he did go trick-or-treating with us. It roused my old jealousy. You know, the whole "Trinity gets Mr. Hot Guy of The World" jealousy. I mean, he could have fooled me into thinking he was a vampire. He was just so damn hot!!!
Anyway, it was after the trick-or-treating that things got really crazy. Ulric went flippin' hog wild on his candy after we got home, and scarfed down more candy than I could possibly hope to consume in one go.
It made me get gut rot, and I didn't eat that much candy.
You can guess what happened after that. Ulric was sick for the rest of the night.
But other than Ulric being the universal pain in the ass (shocking right?), Halloween was pretty cool. After collecting candy, we watched a collection of Halloween movies, in the dark while eating our candy. Ulric threw candy wrappers and crap at the screen when there was parts he didn't like.
I think he was mad because the werewolf wasn't good enough for him. He kept saying he could do it so much better.
Which is true, sadly.
Ulric was in a super crappy mood today. It seemed like a lot of people stayed the heck away from him because of that. Well, he did look like he was going to bite your head off if you bothered him too much.
He didn't look pretty, no question about that.
Now I'm back at Jalana's with everyone, and Ulric is having a tantrum about his homework. I finished mine at school, because I'm just sooooo responsible that way.
So that pretty much wraps it up. More soon.

Halloween is Tomorrow
It just dawned onto me that Halloween is tomorrow.
Crap. I don't have a costume. Trinity does, and Ulric's going as a werewolf.
I don't know. Maybe I'll go as myself.
No, too dangerous. People will figure it out. They aren't stupid, you know. They would ask "How much do those weigh?" or something, and I can't keep my wings still the whole night either.
I'll go as whatever comes to my mind later. Like everyone else in the whole world, all I care about is the candy.
God. It's a really good thing there's not a full moon tomorrow night.
At least, I don't think so. Ulric just loves howling at it. Then people will think he's a werewolf.
Ah. Just checked. No full moon.
But I think he'll howl at it sometime tomorrow night.
God he's embarrassing!
Hmm...Maybe I'll wear something to school tomorrow. Something small, like my devil horns Johnny bought for me one day.
I'll tell you if I come up with anything worth talking about.

Nothing New...Just Bored
Have you ever had the time where you really want to do something so freakin' badly that you feel like you're going to blow up?
It's worse to know that you can do it, but can't because of a billion reasons.
Like flying.
I love flying, and love having wings. But I can't fly right now because it's broad daylight outside and the repressant is fresh and flowing through my veins.
Blah...
I finished up homework (yet another filler in my life with no purpose), and now I'm left with nothing to do. I wish in science they would teach us how to make Nitroglycerin so I'll have it for convenience.
Naw. I'll just get Ulric to mix a bunch of crap together. Just give him some highly concentrated vinegar and baking soda. That'll do it.
Ulric hacked onto my blog again (shocking, right?) and saw the video and got pissed over it. He asked me why I didn't have any pictures of his abs in there.
Um, because I'm trying to keep this blog moderately clean. And then he said that he saw other blogs and some girls even show their, um, private parts, and asked why he couldn't take a picture of...um, yeah. I'll cut off there.
Crap, gotta go.

Fridays Rock in My Book!
Do you know why Fridays rock? Because I get out of school at 12:00! Score! So yeah. Jalana is busy right now. Even though the salon closes earlier on Fridays, she's usually very busy. She has firmly decided now that Ulric needs a serious haircut.
"It's growing out too long!" she said to Ulric. "And it's tangled and messy! I'm cutting it." Well Ulric had a freak-out fit, saying no, but Jalana was stuck to the idea. She had said before that he should at least brush it in the mornings, and to wash it better when he took a shower, but did he listen?
Um, no.
So she has Ulric booked for today, and at this moment he's about to get it cut.
Trinity's lying on my air mattress right now, watching Room 1408 or something. About a hotel and how these people are trying to get this guy to commit suicide...and trying to kill him too. At least I think so. I haven't seen it or read the back of the DVD.
Johnny's out playing basket ball with his friends. He's out a lot.
..Nothing much happened today. "Superboy" wasn't at school today, and Ulric said it's because he's out having a heated affair.
Ulric's mind is sick.
I think Aleron was just sick or something today, because he did look a little pale yesterday, and a little tired.
Oh crap.
I hear Ulric from the salon. I hope Jalana tied him to the chair before she started. Great. Now he's yelling things.
I would write them here, but they aren't rated PG. I'll wait until his haircut's done before writing more, because I've got to steal some of the popcorn Trinity just took out of the microwave.
...(long break)...
I'm back. Lots of popcorn on the floor. Ulric's comming back...
Oh my FREAKIN'...!!!
Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! I can't stop laughing!!!
It's not his haircut that's funny. It's his FACE!
Eyes as big as dinner plates, and he looks like he saw a ghost.
No, he looks like he is a ghost.
He's gripping onto his hair, which he still has a lot of. But Jalana has cut out most of the tangles and has somehow managed to put layers in it.
Now he's complaining. Saying that it's anoying and it doesn't feel right and how it now getting in his face. So what? It always was getting into his face!
Wow.
Okay, I've got to get back to my crap now.

Another Day
So here's the scoop.
Trinity's gotten into the bad habit of referring to Aleron as "Superboy", and Ulric won't for his life shut up about it. Even today in the hallway, he blurted out, "Aleron and Red, sittin' in a tree!!! KAY-EYE-ESS--" of course he was cut off because I slapped my hands over his mouth, saying "Will...you...shut...UP!!!" because of course Aleron was passing by me at that exact moment. Being so ticked off with Ulric almost caused me to miss Aleron's face.
Not in my wildest dreams did I think Aleron actually blushed. And me? I never blush.
So...
That burned off some potential embarrassment I had from Ulric's little display of, ahem, immaturity. Unfortunately I was forced to postpone wringing his neck until after school, because classes were starting.
Science is the class I have Trinity, Ulric, and Aleron in my class. Weird. Not only that, Science is the most boring class I have. Just all the "Blah, blah, blah. You find you velocity and acceleration by doing this, this, and this..." crap. Why do I want to know my velocity? All I know is that I can get going really freakin' fast, and that's all that matters.
I couldn't help staring at Aleron. To be more exact, at the back of his head. I had the feather at home. The one he gave me. And at that time, I wish I had it with me.
Because I'm paranoid that way.
He never turned around. Except once when Ulric threw a metal washer at his head, and because Ulric's the dominant athlete in dodge ball, he didn't miss Aleron's head. Then Aleron turned around and threw Ulric a look.
Did I mention they are sworn enemies when it comes to football? For that matter, any sport at all? Yeah. They both are on each others "People I Might Kill Some Day" lists. Not a happy mix.
Being suave, casual, laid-back and cool, I looked back down at my paper quickly just before Aleron looked at me as he was turning back around. I scribbled down an answer (no doubt incorrect) to a pointless question the paper was asking me, trying to act as though my adrenaline wasn't making my heart beat at a billion miles an hour.
I'm so glad I don't blush.
Crap. Gotta go. Homework and Jalana.

What to Make of This?
So...
Wondering how my school is? Yeah, I know you have been wondering about that. What it's like.
Well, I suppose it's like any other freakin' school. Full of non-mutant sheep.
Wait? You mean besides that?
Okay fine. So. It's a high school. I'm a "freshman" (how weird to say I am), and am not really picked on that often for reasons you should know by now. I'm starting to become a pretty popular chick (completely smothering my first point on my "what I should absolutely one hundred percent not let happen" list). So is Trinity, and Ulric has a million girls who have a crush on him. Ugh. Poor saps. Don't know half of what they're dealing with.
We don't have many enemies, minus Shredder, who is going to rip our throats out if it's the last thing he ever does.
Oh yeah. He got busted by the cops last weekend. They found some pot in his truck.
Anyway. The thing about being popular is that no matter who you are or what you did to become popular, it sucks for billions of reasons. A) We're expected to sit at the popular people's table, full of boring idiots. B) If you get really popular (which we are inching up to, sadly enough) you get that "never left alone celebrity-type" attention, and C) You're expected to be just like all the popular low-lifes you're surrounded by.
But I have a crush, you know, which is a symptom of HSL (High School Life).
His name is Aleron Phoenix, as you probably know.
Coincidence?
But here's something on the "way freaky" spectrum.
So he was coming out of the guys bathroom, right? And suddenly, as he was walking away, a feather floated down from him. I reached down and picked it up.
It was darkish brown, and the size and shape told me it was a secondary covert feather.
A large secondary covert feather.
So I caught up to him and asked "Is this yours?" Hah.
He looked at me, and I remembered how freaking hot he was. His long dark hair fell over his equally dark eyes, making them shadowy. He looked at the feather.
"Where'd you get that?" he said.
"You dropped it," I said. He scowled. He doesn't normally scowl like that. He actually smiles quite often.
"Yes it's mine," he said. And before I could stop myself, I blubbered out the sentence "From which wing?"
Great. Now he was thinking I was a raving lunatic.
He gave me this strange look. A look that made me pause.
"Left," he answered in a low tone. "I think." He reached out to take it, then pulled his hand away.
"Keep it," he said. "It's not useful to me anymore." And then he left, leaving me like a chicken that stopped in the middle of the road.
What just happened there? Wing? Left? Not useful anymore?
For a while I was adding two plus one and coming up with sixty-four, and then it hit me like a hammer.
Flabbergasted, I told Trinity the moment we had privacy, and when I was done, she was all like "You're pretty obsessed with this guy Red." That ticked me off. I waved the feather in her face, asking her rapidly if it was mine, and repeating over a second time, more thoroughly, what he told me. Then she wondered and said "Why don't you ask?"
Like sure I would. "Hey, Aleron. Are you an avian/human hybrid with wings?"
We talked more about it when we got home. Ulric overheard, and started saying that I couldn't have him no matter what.
Then Trinity can't have Johnny!
Whatever.
But what to I make of this? I am looking at the feather now as I type...
I wonder...
If it's true...If it's possible...
Damn.

Bored...Nothing New
Yeah I wish something happened today...Just the same old song and dance...
I feel like a freaking zombie!!! Ugh...Like yeah I have homework...
Boring. Ulric was in a crappy mood today. Not only that, but he tried out Johnny's skateboard after school and did the wackiest belly flop/back flip/attempt to do a kick flip combo I've ever seen, and wound up ripping a hole in the knee of his jeans. Do you know how hard it is to rip jeans? He must have some serious coordination issue to pull off a stunt like that. And then he got the skateboard lodged in a tree because he got pissed at it and threw it in one.
...Nothing more...Blah. Boring day...

The Redinator Strikes Again!
Uneventful weekend so far. Minus today.
So it started out as normal. Just Trinity, Ulric, and me, walking through a semi-busy downtownish area, just the three of us, when the most (okay not the most) random thing happened. I hear the powerful thumping of a bass, no doubt generated by subwoofers, coming from behind me. I didn’t think much about it, except that whoever it was should turn their blaring music down a few notches.
And then a big pickup truck, dull, dented, and a little rusty, pulls up beside us, the source of the noise.
Two seconds before I looked, I calculated the possibilities of where this was going and who was in that truck. It took less than half that time to place my best bet, and then I looked.
Shredder. I so just won.
All three of us let out an internal groan of “Oi Vay” (in a nutshell, meaning “oh brother”) and turned to see what was brewing.
Acting as though my day just had gotten duller, I looked at the big hulking machine, taking everything in. In the driver’s seat was Shredder, and in shotgun was his little blonde prostitute, Clarissa, who was everything a High School guy could wish for. Blonde, stupid, big ass, size D boobs, perfect petite figure, and tons of makeup. And of course to top it all off, a slutty outfit. All of Shredder’s cohorts were stuck in the truck’s back. As in way back, in the place where you’re not supposed to sit.
“Hey b****es!!!” he called, swearing colorfully. “Where de heck are you goin’?!?”
“Goin’” as in “going” as in “what place are we walking to”?
“Pizza,” said Trinity in a bored tone of voice. At that time, I was trying to find the logic in installing beaucoup expensive subwoofers in a crappy Junker. Couldn’t find it.
“That’s what you think!” said Shredder. “Think you can beat my girl? Think you can f***ing take me on?!?”
What did we ever do to you?!?
Um, well I socked him in the stomach, and Trinity did give Shredder’s girl a big walloping bruise on the arm. But that was once, and, as the saying goes, he started it!
Shredder yanked the clutch into “parked”, with force I would expect to snap it, and got out of the truck.
“I just wanted pizza!!!” cried Ulric. “And look what I get!!!” He cracked his knuckles, grinning. “All three! It must be my lucky day!!!” It took me a little to figure out “all three”. But I concluded pizza, a challenging skirmish, and Clarissa (to be exact, Clarissa’s boobs and butt).
Okay then…
But pandemonium followed Shredder, and we launched into action.
We hit the ground running.
The best way to not reveal yourself when you’re an under-cover mutant is to take the most logical and simplest action. An action a human would most likely take when they are faced with a situation like this.
Part two of that is “just don’t get involved with the whole thing.”
We ducked into an alley, thinking it would lead though.
It didn’t.
Crap.
Plan B: Try to talk our way out.
Shredder and his gang had us cornered, and I thought plan B at this point was a perfectly good waste of time. But it was worth a shot.
Suddenly Clarissa comes around, squealing, “Billy! Billy, wait for me!!!” moving in a way that couldn’t be running and couldn’t be jogging. A jogging-strut combo? She made a whiny girly noise, seeing as things were going to get messy. She pressed herself against the wall, like she was a damsel in distress, looking as helpless as anything.
Wow. I’m glad I’m not like that. Let alone even human.
So Shredder looms over me like Trinity does sometimes, again another person who thinks that height intimidates me, and leers.
I could’ve socked him again. I could’ve snapped my leg at his balls. I could’ve given him a jaw grinding upper-cut. I didn’t. It was words that were going to have to get us out of this one.
“Before anything else,” I said. “We need to discuss this.”
“There ain’t anything to discuss,” said Shredder. “You’re dead meat.”
“We really don’t want to fight you,” I said, being choosy about my words. I saw from my peripheral vision that Trinity was giving me these looks. I didn’t catch what they meant though. Shredder took a step forward, making us take a step back. We were against the wall, with Shredder and his gang surrounding us.
“What if we pay you?” I said.
“I said you’re dead meat!” said Shredder, meaning no.
“Can’t we just talk this over a nice pepperoni pizza!?!” I said, losing patience.
That did it.
Shredder aimed at my head, I ducked, and his fist nearly collided with the wall. I screwed plan B and went with my natural instincts. Actions speak louder than words, and I needed to get my message across. Trinity swung at him and Ulric attacked the others ferociously. I sprung up and followed example. It was not a pretty scene. Shredder was full of burning revenge, and his main targets were Trinity and me.
While smacking a chump in the balls, I heard a squeal. Clarissa. Looking, I saw Ulric beside her.
It doesn’t take brains to know what a recreation of Wolverine does to sluts like her. I managed to get over there, and rescue the girl from that wolf. I grabbed the back of Ulric’s sweatshirt jacket, and literally toss him into the dog-pile of flailing arms and legs, which only got doggier.
Trinity was doing okay, and Ulric was figuratively going for the jugular on some. I wasn’t worried about how we would turn out. I was worried about the police. Surely a big honking truck parked on the curb with subwoofers blasting out bad music would catch some attention. No doubt they would go poking around and find a street-fight taking place in an alley.
So we knocked them all out. Even Clarissa, who would have probably had a panic attack if we kept her conscious.
So we brushed the dirt off our clothes, and straightened them out, and walked out of the alley as if nothing happened. We hurried to the pizza place, saying nothing at all about the fight, and just acting like normal teens. Talking about school, how it stinks, about other things, yadda, yadda…All the while horking down a pepperoni pizza was a stuffed cheese crust (yum!).
When we were walking back to Jalana’s (a little while later, having stopped at a gaming store for the sake of making Ulric shut-up) we saw that the police did come, and they were talking to Shredder, who was looking pissed off. He had a huge bump on his head, compliments to Ulric. Suddenly he pointed to us.
“There they are!!!” he cried. “Them little f***ers over there!!!” The police turned to us. I could see one of them wearing a smile. Sure. It’s entirely believable that three high school freshmen had punched up a gang of rough, muscular seniors without getting hit themselves. Entirely believable.
But they did question us. We put on the “clueless, innocent teens” act, and answered the questions as though we weren’t involved in it at all. I admit that Ulric, who is not smart in some areas, does a good job of playing “innocent”. He can do this whole in-my-eyes-reflect-innocence thing, looking like he was not one to get involved with anything bad. So you’d think you’re dealing with an innocent, shy, cute fifteen-year-old guy instead of a perverted, rude, selfish wolf freak.
Even Trinity, who can fool anyone into thinking she’s a young-looking twenty-year-old, could raise her eyebrows and look as though this was not something that she would ever come across.
And I myself admit my small innocent appearance is deceiving on its own. And it didn’t take much to convince the police that we did not do anything. So they let us go.
Once we had gone a few blocks, we stopped and cracked up. Not only did we burn off the potential energy that we had cooped up inside of us, Shredder got busted for violence.

Confuzzled?
Feel as though you're missing half of the story?
You are.
I've got Trinity's blog link up, so visit hers and know more about the adventure.
Just FYI.

...Blah
Nothing has been happening. But it's a 4 day weekend, so that rocks in my book.
Same old stuff. Ulric is becoming quite the driver to my patience. Already Jalana had to buy me more shirts. School stinks, as usual...
Wow. I wonder how long I can keep this up. I mean, I have wings and can fly!!! Average?
Um, NO!
Before this, I had always needed to be on my toes, with that whole "not get caught" thing. Now I have two other mutants on my radar, one who I'm friends with and the other who we just so happened to pick up out of the grime and filth of evildoing, and am living in a real house, going to a real school, and I can almost convince myself that I am starting to think like a normal teenager.
Wow. Again.
A part of me thought this would be a more eventful change, but now I'm finding it a real blah-fest...
Flying miles in the air and plummeting down at 300 mph and then cruising like a bullet for a long time sounds really good right now.
I feel like I'm cooped in a freaking hole.
More later, or if anything happens.

P.S. - I showed this picture to Trinity and she got pissed at me. Just another "Hey Trin, remember yesterday?" thing.

Today and other Crap
Yeah, I got school off today (because of some teacher meeting crap and stuff). Jalana cut my hair today, saying it needed one. I have to admit she's pretty good too.
Anyway, here's the highlight of today's post.
So I was getting very irritated with Ulric (shocking, right?) because he had screwed around with my computer, when suddenly my wings pop out, destroying yet another one of my shirts.
The thing was that I was hardly angry, and my wings only come out when I'm livid.
I thought this over, and calmed down once Ulric decided he was bored and went outside. Still thinking, I laid on my air mattress, letting my wings sprawl over the sides. Then it occurred to me that my wings were still there, and I was calm.
This kinda freaked me out a little.
After a few minutes of thinking, Ulric comes careening up the stairs at literally fifty miles an hour, gripping his wolf ears and having his tail in between his legs.
Pervert.
But he had that wide-eyed, just-saw-a-ghost look on his face, and it took me a moment to realize he had been outside and had turned into a wolf.
Next, Trinity comes out of her room, asking what happened, looking all foxy and stuff. I wondered what could be causing it, and I looked on my computer at the equation of the mutant-repressant, and found the solution.
It wears off.
Luckily, it was Friday and no school, so I didn't have to inject it into us until Sunday night the earliest.
But this is still a problem, though it is good in some ways because I won't be non-mutant forever, but that means we'll have to keep on our toes.
Crap...
Gotta go. If Jalana catches me, I'll be cooped for sure.
Ha...

Quick because of hw
Okay. I'll breeze through this.
1. Ulric plays football and pretty much pwns anyone. Always tackles even though it is touch.
2. Hate homework (no news there...)
3. Almost revealed myself as the mutant I am (smooth one Red...)
4. Got lectured by Jalana about getting in trouble in school.
5. Caught Ulric hacking onto my computer
6. and I have an actual crush on this really cute guy...
Who makes me feel rather...suspicous...
Sure, no one goes around with the name "Aleron Phoenix" and gets away with it, right?
Hmmm...

A Not-So-Very-Boring-Life (That sucks though)
So...
Ah, I'm guessing you're wondering how things are going now. You know, because we have a new edition to the family.
So about that...
Look, to cut to the chase, it's not going too well. We found Ulric last week - correction, he found us - and now he is living with us under the same roof.
Disobedient brats in boot camp behave better than he does. Trust me on that.
So here's what happened.
Ulric had the biggest flippin' tantrum about the mutant repressant when I injected it into him, and howled at the moon for the rest of the night. It kept me up, and angry, and so my wings didn't disappear until dawn broke upon my restless body, about the time Ulric stopped howling. I was still pissed, but no adrenaline was gushing through me. Remember: Adrenaline = Mutant. Don't forget it.
The worst part of the day was getting Ulric to look like an average teenager. Yeah, his wolfy ears, tail, claws, fangs and other mutant stuff was gone, but the amazingly powerful stench that freak gave off was bound to attract unwanted attention. Plus he couldn't go around wearing a pair of tattered, mud-stained cargo pants and nothing else.
And don't get me started with that hair of his.
We did our best with him. Honestly, we did our very best. We made sure he was clean enough to satisfy Jalana, and Trinity persuaded Johnny to let Ulric borrow some of his clothes so that he didn't have to go around looking like he didn't own any. She did manage to get some of Johnny's older clothes, ones that he doesn't care about anymore.
But despite all attempts, Jalana couldn't even lay a comb on Ulric's head.
That freak needs a serious cut. His hair is all over the place, sticking out in all directions and getting into his face and such. It's as wild as heck. And most likely to be more tangled than the outcome of me trying to knit.
It's already weird enough, because his hair is black streaked with gray. Dark gray to light gray, strongly reminding one of a wolf's fur coat.
But even after all of this, he still looks a little, you know, different. He can't blend in as much as me and Trinity can. But he could if he wanted to.
And then there was school.
Jalana had managed to cram Ulric into the same school as us, and his first day was on Tuesday. All his classes either have me, Trinity, or Johnny in them. One of them has all four of us, and one of them only has Ulric. I'm not going to get into much of the details now, but Ulric, from what I've seen, is behaving fairly well, although he is failing more than one class already.
I think Trinity had a crush on him at first (I will painfully admit that freak is good-looking, in an evil, wolfish way) but whatever emotion she felt for him died when she discovered her best bra was hiding under his bed pillow, and that he had somehow acquired frog eggs and filled her shampoo bottle with them. Other inappropriate acts include making crap explode from the only toilet in the house, tearing up my bedroom, peeing on Johnny's bed mattress, eating Trinity's homework, tampering with the hair salon, tearing up Johnny's favorite pair of converse shoes, taking roadkill and eating it before our very eyes, tampering with all my scientific things, digging his nose into any business that's not his, and most of all making our lives miserable. I swear he is trying to get me mad in public so my wings pop out.
He is the world's most unlikeable person. Really, I am tempted to throw him out into the wild, but another part of me wants him to suffer living in reality.
Crap. Gotta fly. Trouble in the next room.

Eventful, Yet I Wish It Didn't Happen
The wireless had been down since god knows when, and now it's back UP!!!(thanks to Johnny)
So.
Eventful year of school.
VERY eventful.
Almost too much (in the context of "stay hidden", "don't blow your cover", and "Whatever you do, don't get pissed off!" It actually revived me somewhat.)
So here's the scoop.
Trinity and I were out late that night, because we were at the movies and Jalana said she couldn't pick us up, on account she's a hair stylist and today was an exceptionally busy day. So we walked home, knowing we could take care of anyone who wanted to lay a finger on us. So we walked home, and nothing happened for most of the way. It was only when we were walking down a dark alleyway that Trinity paused, sniffing the air. Even though our freakaziod mutant genes were repressed, we still had enhanced senses. Like I have keen eyes and keen hearing, and of course I'm quick to react, and Trinity could smell things like nobody's freaking business, and we are freakishly fast runners.
So when she paused and did the sniffing thing, I stopped walking too, and we both listened. I scanned my surroundings, still being able to see in the dark more than the average human could ever do. And guess what?
Whatever Trinity was smelling was certainly well hidden.
She retorted quietly that whatever she was smelling stinks like an animal, and that it was hard to ignore.
Like spider senses, we both felt a prickling at the back of our necks, and suddenly, we were ambushed.
By what I first thought was a human, and then I thought was a dog, and somehow in the mix my nostrils came in contact with fur and caught a whiff of something awful.
Ugh.
But in about two seconds my brain registered what it was.
Wait for it...wait for it...
(pause for effect)
Another mutant.
Yes, I'm serious!!! Another freak like us! After the slight skirmish, the freak jumped back into an animal pose, crouching and baring his pointed teeth. Trinity and I were back up on our feet faster than one's reaction time allows, and I had enough time to notice the freak's features.
A lupine hybrid no doubt. Muscular body, wild grayish-black hair, claws, fangs, wolf ears and tail. Even his looks reminded me of a wolf. He wasn't wearing a shirt either. I was feeling adrenaline gush into my blood stream, feeling my jaw clench, my fists tighten...
And my back tingle.
Trinity experienced the same feeling. She wanted those claws out. I mean, after (what was it again?) A week of boring, dull, unexciting school, one would do anything for a bit of excitement.
I don't know how you saps of humans can stand it.
But the freak attacked us like he was trying to kill us for meat.
I don't know much about wolves, but I do know they travel in packs, and this guy was a lone wolf. I know that the whole pack brings down the prey and then the pack leader gets first dibs, but I've never heard of a wolf hunting by himself.
Yet I do know the combination of adrenaline and mutant-repressant isn't a happy mix.
Yes, that did happen.
So then it came. Wings out, yellow eyes and anger to boot. Trinity was in the same boat as my, with claws ready, eyes flaring electric blue. I was hoping this would make an intimidating impression, but the freak only grinned an unholy grin, making me even more pissed.
Uber uncool!
I don't know the mix of wolf vs. raptor, because we're both predators. And I don't know if a fox is a predator, or if it has a prey (minus foxhunting). And even if it did, Trinity would claw you to death before you can touch her.
So to make a long story short, there was fighting, and there was the occasional swearing, and of course there was blood. But it was two against one, in our favor, so it was a fair battle. Eventually we wrung the animal to the ground, and held him down as he snarled and growled and tired to bite our fingers off. Or anything else he could get at. If he had torn any feathers out I would have pounded him into the ground.
There was more to growling and snarling when it comes to mutants. I knew he could talk, having heard a distinct swear word when Trinity attempted to punch his face in, succeeding by making his nose bleed.
"All right, you mutt!" I said once he was pinned to the ground, grabbing those mounds of shaggy wild hair on his head and yanking on it. "Tell me the reason you tried to take us on." The freak snarled, exposing those hideous canines. I yanked on his hair more.
"Talk or you're going straight to the kennel!!!" I threatened, saying in a sarcastic way I was going to take him back to whatever Mad Lab he came from if I didn't get info out of him before my patients expired.
Suddenly Trinity bit him on the ear, looking not happy about doing so either. I didn't know if this was a sign of affection or a punishment for not cooperating, but either way it made me pause and give her a look. Trinity began spitting out saliva on the ground, looking disgusted.
But then the freak did something weird, which is what all freaks do best.
He kinda froze up for a second, and then relaxed, and his facial expression looked a little more sane and a little less sardonic and wicked.
"Fine, you win!" he said. He first demanded that we let him go before he told us what he knew. And guess what?
We didn't buy that for one second.
Trinity said to spit it out before she did it for him, and only after did we learn everything we would turn him loose.
He started out with his name. Ulric. It's a crazy name (but then again, the name "Red" and "Trinity" are not common either). He said he came from a lab, refusing to mention what lab and where it was located. He escaped from it, like I did forever ago, and took a fancy into being a criminal. Trinity asked him why he was taken to doing evil, and he angrily retorted that the world was evil and wicked and people deserved to die.
Life in the lab wasn't nice to him I bet.
But anyway, we got to why he attacked us, and he said that he thought we were humans and wanted to scare us.
Pffft! That failed miserably.
I should have know this freak was a no-good experiment. All wolves are the bad guys in any scenario. This one was no different, seeking out people like piglets to scare the crap out of them. I was not amused by his odd crooked smile. It made me not believe a single word he said.
"You're a mangy pack of lies," I said. "You're not leaving until you tell the truth."
"Me? Leave?" he said, sounding as though that was funny. "Why should I? It's a full moon, so I'm feeling exceptionally wild, and I've got two of my kind here. Why shouldn't we go a little wild tonight?" Trinity later told me he was touching her leg.
OH MY F---!!!!!
He was hitting on us! Can you believe that!?! He's such an ANIMAL!!!
Of course we wanted to beat him up again, but the most I did was slap him. Really hard. The freak took it back.
But now that we got all the information out of him, we didn't know what to do with him. He angrily cried out that we promised to let him go, but we weren't going to turn him loose now, not since we knew he was a criminal.
After debating, we decided to take him home with us and ask Jalana for advice. Even though we were better at dealing with the mutant business than she was, she knew about the "ins" and "outs" of everything. My hope was that she would take him to the kennel, or get rid of him somehow, because I didn't want a thieving dog slinking around the house, taking things that didn't belong to him.
But I had to bite him on the ear before we went home, as Trinity said, because otherwise he wouldn't listen to me. I did so, unwillingly, and me and Trinity both held one of his arms the whole way, just so he wouldn't run off. But the freak simply flattened his ears against the sides of his head, and scowled, growling occasionally.
We couldn't simply walk home now, we realized, because we were now mutant and still pretty pissed. So we decided to go with a different plan.
I was in the air, and flying, making sure I wasn't seen. Trinity was running super uber fast, zigzagging and swerving all the way to Jalana's house. With the freak clinging onto her for dear life. Poor sap. When I got to Jalana's house he was all shaken up, with his ears flat against his head and his eyes wide. He said he could run fast also, but all that swerving was so spontaneous it scared the living hell out of him.
Both Jalana and Johnny were shocked to see our state, and even more shocked to see Ulric. I introduced the freak to the family and Ulric held his hand out to Johnny to shake, grinning horribly. His claws were out, long and deadly. Johnny didn't shake his hand. Trinity ran into his arms though, throwing Ulric a look saying that yes she does have someone already. For a moment, I thought I saw a twinge of jealousy in those wolfy eyes of his.
To my horror, Jalana wanted him to stay.
Everyone's jaws dropped. Not one of us wanted him to stay, and Ulric said he would tear the house and salon apart if he was condemned to live here.
Jalana firmly chomped down on his ear, apparently knowing the secret to automatic obedience when it comes to wolves. Ulric threw a tantrum then, yelling at us to stop biting his ears. But what's worse was that now he had to obey. It was embedded in his wolfness that whoever bit the ears of a pack leader would gain respect from the leader.
Which sucks...
This happened a few days ago, when we had no homework that night and we had time to go to the movies. Now the freak is staying with us (god, help me!) and it's not been good so far.
I had to inject the mutant-depressant into his blood stream, for his own safety, and he threw a freak-out fit after that when he discovered his tail, ears, claws, fangs and all other mutant traits were gone.
Trinity can relate.
Jalana tried to cheer him up by making steak for dinner, but the freak said it tasted like !$@&.
But here's the coup-de-grĂ¢ce.
Jalana enrolled him into our school.
He's going there this monday.
...My life is getting crazier and crazier by the minute...
More later. Ulric's having a tantrum again...
